PBA legend makes his Genesis® TV debut during Super Bowl event

PBA Hall of Famer Parker Bohn III made his Genesis® G-Force™ TV debut during Super Bowl weekend, and what a debut it was. Teaming with actor Quinton Aaron of "The Blind Side" fame, the duo easily blew through the stepladder finals of the first annual Main Event PBA Super Clash, beating Jason Belmonte and Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson for the trophy, 204-118. Parker himself did much of the damage, striking on 15 of his first 17 balls, but Quinton proved to be no slouch, converting many key spares of which his celebrity contemporaries couldn't match.

Another notable highlight of the show was our own EJ Tackett being announced as the 2016 PBA Player of the Year, with the Rookie of the Year honor going to Francois Lavoie, fresh of off his K-Motion assisted win in the PBA Shark Championship. Other noted K-Motion users, Tom Smallwood and Rhino Page, won the Steve Nagy Sportsmanship Award and Tony Reyes Community Service Award, respectively. Concluding the event was a special 4 frame doubles event featuring Tackett and Belmonte being paired with Teen Masters participants.

Tackett wins 2017 DHC PBA Japan Invitational for 6th career title

EJ Tackett, fresh off his 2016 World Championship win, has continued his mastery of the lanes into the new year. In what turned out to be a strike fest, Tackett spent the entire tournament near the top of the leader board. His performance included not one, not two, but three 300 games to make it into the 5th spot for the stepladder finals. From there he continued his strike barrage by running the ladder, defeating Chris Barnes 257-205, Sean Rash 259-256 and Jason Sterner 235-191. The title match saw him take on PBA Japan star and tournament leader (by 401 pins!) Shota Kawazoe. EJ found the winners circle with a 259-216 victory for his 6th career title, and 5th since the 2016 season. Talent plays anywhere, as they say, and this young man certainly has an abundance of it.

Other notable G-Force™ staff finishes included Tommy Jones (7th), who had two 300 games himself, Josh Blanchard (12th) and Kris Prather (19th).

8 of the 10 competitors use K-Motion™ as USA defeats the World

Congratulations to the USA team on your win in the PBA USA vs the World special event. It was a fun and entertaining show that featured 8 of 10 players using our K-Motion kinesiology tape.

The USA team was led by G-Force™ staffers EJ Tackett and Dick Allen throwing nothing but strikes, including Allen's clinching 1 ball roll-off. Fellow G-Force™ staffer Matt O'Grady, recent champion and K-Motion user Mitch Beasley, and former staff member BJ Moore III rounded out the winning team, while G-Force™ staffer Tommy Jones served as the team Manager. The World team was comprised of Dom Barrett, Francois Lavoie, Arturo Quintero, Martin Larsen and Sam Cooley. The only competitors not to use K-Motion were Cooley and Moore.
